Completed repairs for 8708 Willard Ave. The following repairs have been completed. Pictures of completed repairs have been added to the property pictures on the main property page (at the end). - Repair shingles and flashing around the chimney to alleviate minor leak. Leak is due to flashing around the chimney. - Clean gutter and improve slope to prevent ponding (if possible). - Add masonry to cracks in basement wall. In houses of this age, there is often some movement of basement walls during the settling process. This is typically a one time movement if there is not an exterior force causing them to continuously move further. Cracks should be repaired and it can be monitored. - Correct double-tapped breakers in electrical panel. - Install junction box for electrical connections. - Install smoke/CO detectors where necessary. - Replace furnace filter. - Clean and service furnace. - Reconnect duct properly at termination end. - Add discharge pipe to HW heater. - Basements in northeast Ohio nearly all show signs of moisture to some degree, especially in houses of this age. Running a dehumidifier can alleviate moisture easily.
