Vendor diagnosis:
The problem is not because of the size of the pipes. The prob
lem is because of the build up of grease in the underground li
ne. Because there is only a small clean out under the 1st floor
kitchen sink we can not get the pipes totally unclogged. You
can't clear a 4 or 6 inch drain from a 2" opening. I spoke with
James 1 of the workers at the property and he said he also h
as tried to Rod it several times. We both agree that is the rea
son we can't clear the line thoroughly, because of the small a
ccess point.
Detailed repair scope:
Have to open the floor in the unit to gain access to the underg
round sink line.
Remove sections of the pipe to eliminate grease blockage.
Rod the line to the main with a large cutter.
Install cleanout to ground level for future maintenance.
Reconcrete the floor
Haul away the debris
Labor and materials included
