I installed the alarm and the sensors on the first and second fl
oor the keypad is on the first floor between the main back doo
r and the first floor apartment door by the circuit breakers.
Vendor diagnosis:
Estimate to remove a locking door knob from the front gate a
nd replace it with a door knob that does not lock, but will still l
atch. There are no electronics on the gate to open with the bu
zzer system. Back gate is open and free so a front gate being
locked all the time is unnecessary. Buzzer system will open th
e door, but the tenant cannot hear a buzz from the outside. A
Bluetooth doorbell can be used to supplement the speaker an
d the buzzer system so a whole new system will not have to b
e installed.
Detailed repair scope:
Install wireless doorbell
Install new door knob that does not automatically lock
Purchase door knob with key for gate
Purchase wireless door bell with chime and 1,000 feet range
Labor and materials included

Vendor diagnosis:
Estimate to replace the entire buzzer system at the gate, in all
3 apartments, and entry door. This requires electrical work in
all three units, new speakers inside the three units, a new ele
ctric strike at the entry door, a new 3 button buzzer unit at the
gate, electrical work outside the unit for the new system, mou
nting the new buzzer unit at the gate, new fuses for the syste
m, new backplate, transformer, plug in transformer, amplifier,
and ensure function.
