CIT Y A ID Permit #2023021025 OAST ALM INC COMPLETED - 5/19/2023 ORPORATED 199 9 STORMWATER & ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT SWALE PLAN GENERAL NOTES 1. The driveway culvert inverts are to be installed within 0.1' (+/-) of the elevations indicated on the swale plan (unless otherwise approved by the City Stormwater Engineer). The finished swale elevation is with sod in place. 2. The swale centerline is typically located 8 feet from the edge of pavement, 5 feet from e.o.p. in cul de sacs. Culverts in cul de sacs may require a 22.5° elbow. 3. The finished grade of the swale along the edge of pavement is to be 2 inches (before sodding) below the upper edge of the pavement. 4. The swale must have a minimum slope of 0.1% (1 inch across an 80 foot lot) in the direction of flow shown on the Swale Plan. 5. Swales at the construction site and on adjacent lots MUST NOT be OBSTRUCTED at any time. Any obstruction MUST be cleared IMMEDIATELY. 6. Contractor shall ensure that all litter and deleterious materials are cleaned up on a daily basis. No litter, debris, construction materials, or other deleterious material shall be left within the R.O.W. Damage to swales resulting from construction activity shall be repaired at the end of each work day. 7. If the builder is unable to locate the temporary benchmark referenced in this Swale Plan, they must contact the surveyor of record and notify Stormwater division at (386) 986-4750 if changes are made. The City assumes no responsibility for data provided by third parties used to prepare this Swale Plan including builders, owners and surveyors. 8. It is the BUILDER'S/OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY to confirm elevations/locations for culvert placement and to ensure that obstructions do not exist upstream and/or downstream. Should there be any questions, or if an obstruction exists, contact Customer Service at (386) 986-2360. SPECIFIC DETAILS 1. The driveway culvert is to be a 17x13 (15" dia equivalent) helical corrugated metal pipe with mitered ends - unless specified otherwise - installed in accordance with The City of Palm Coast Residential Culvert Detail (DWG NO. 002-270605). Substitutes require prior approval by the City Stormwater Engineer. 2. Maintain 2 feet clear (minimum) between end of culverts and outfall inlets or other drainage structures. 3. Driveway replacements and additions are required to meet current City Codes and specifications. 4. Erosion control in accordance with COPC technical manual (see note 6) is required across the swale on the downstream property line prior to construction. 5. The swale is to be graded from property line to property line using the elevations on this Swale Plan and the specifications and details provided in the City of Palm Coast Typical Residential Swale Profile (DWG NO. 001-240605) or Residential Cul-De-Sac Swale Profile (DWG NO. 001-270605) unless otherwise specified or directed. 6. All drawings referenced in these notes are available in the City of Palm Coast Land Developement Code technical manual, section 5, found on the COPC website www.palmcoastgov.com or can be obtained at the Stormwater Division (386) 986-4750.
